Ransom Eligible campaigns
A paid campaign purchased for fewer than 14 days may be displaced by another advertiser who pays at least the required increase over the position’s current daily rate.
Required daily-rate increase
Each occupied eligible spot has a current daily rate and a required increase. The booking flow uses those live records to calculate the minimum offer and shows the exact total before a challenge is submitted.
The response and payment sequence
- The challenger submits finished artwork and the displayed offer. No challenger payment is collected yet.
- The current advertiser receives a private response link and has 24 hours to defend or decline. The no-charge-until-completed defense checkout expires with that response window.
- To defend, the current advertiser pays the displayed increase plus the 5% NovaCyns Service Fee through the secure checkout before the deadline. The campaign stays in place at its new current daily rate.
- If the advertiser declines or lets the window close, the challenger receives a 24-hour final-sale checkout for the displayed placement amount plus the 5% NovaCyns Service Fee.
- Only a completed winner payment reassigns the position. If the challenger does not pay, the existing campaign stays in place.
NovaCyns does not charge both advertisers. The party that does not win is not charged through this challenge.
If an ad is displaced
The original advertiser loses the remaining display time. Payments are nonrefundable, and NovaCyns does not issue a credit or prorated reimbursement for unused time.
If an advertiser purchases seven days and the placement is Ransomed on the first day, the original payment is not refunded.
Ransom Protected campaigns
Paid campaigns purchased for 14 consecutive days or longer are protected and cannot be displaced during the reserved campaign period.
Artwork checks still apply
No current advertisement is displaced until eligibility, position availability, and winner payment are confirmed. Challenger artwork that passes automated checks may publish automatically after payment. Flagged artwork is held for additional exception review.
